Cloud sync

How your notes reach Mico's cloud and your other devices, and what happens when two devices change the same note.

While you are signed in, Mico syncs your notes with your Mico account on its own. There is nothing to turn on, no recovery key to keep, and no setting to pause it.

What syncs

  • Meeting notes, with their memo and summary
  • Transcripts
  • Participants and contacts
  • Action items
  • The list of attachments on each note

Your settings stay on each computer. Recordings do not sync to your other computers: the audio is kept on the computer that recorded it, for as long as Audio file retention keeps it. See Data, privacy, and retention.

How it works

Mico's cloud holds the reference copy of your notes, and each computer keeps a local copy so you can keep working without a connection. About 10 seconds after Mico opens, and then every minute, Mico sends your changes and receives the ones made elsewhere. If a round fails, for example because you are offline, Mico tries again 5 minutes later. Changes you make offline go out on the first round after the connection returns.

Deleting a note also syncs: it disappears from your other devices.

Long transcripts transfer in small batches. If many are waiting to sync, leave Mico open until they finish syncing.

When two devices change the same note

Mico keeps the most recent version of each item and does not merge edits. If you change the same note on two computers before either one syncs, the older change is lost. Edit a note in one place at a time, or give Mico a minute between devices.

Stop syncing

Sync stops when you sign out under Settings → Account → Sign out, and resumes when you sign in again.

Privacy

Synced content is stored on Mico's servers, encrypted in transit and at rest, and each row can be read only by its owner's account. It is not end-to-end encrypted: Mico's systems can read it, which is what lets them transcribe, summarize, and search it. See Data, privacy, and retention.

The API and the remote MCP server read the meetings that sync keeps on Mico's servers. They answer only requests that carry one of your personal access tokens, and they never write.
