EspañolCLI installation
Install the current Mico CLI and point it at local meeting data.
Current availability
The mico executable is the CLI. It reads the meetings stored on your computer. Mico's MCP server is remote and needs no installation: see MCP for agents.
Homebrew, standalone release binaries, and Windows package-manager distribution are forthcoming. Do not rely on those channels yet.
Install from the desktop app
On macOS, open Settings → Developers and select Install. Mico copies its bundled CLI to ~/.local/bin/mico. The CLI section requires a plan that includes the CLI (Flow).
If your shell cannot find mico, add ~/.local/bin to PATH:
export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"
Connect to local data
By default, the CLI looks for mico/app.db in your operating system's application-data directory. It also recognizes legacy Mico locations.
Open the desktop app once so it can create the database. After that, the CLI works while the app is closed.
For a custom database location, pass a global option or environment variable:
mico --db-path /path/to/app.db --json meetings list
MICO_DB_PATH=/path/to/app.db mico --json meetings list
If you have a Mico data directory containing app.db, use:
mico --base /path/to/mico-data --json meetings list
The CLI opens the database in read-only query mode. It does not create a database or run migrations.
