EspañolFrequently asked questions
Answers about recording, AI, privacy, sharing, sync, and developer tools.
Recording and notes
Does Mico join the call?
No. Mico captures your microphone and computer audio from the desktop without adding a meeting bot. See Record meetings.
Can recording start automatically?
Yes. Mico can start calendar-backed meetings on schedule and prompt you when it detects an unscheduled call. Turn on Start when meeting begins under Settings → Meetings, and Microphone detection under Settings → Notifications. See Automatic capture.
Can I edit a transcript or fix a speaker?
Yes. Use Write to edit transcript text. Select text or a speaker label to assign the correct person, create a speaker, or apply the change to every matching segment. See Correct a transcript.
Can I add more audio to an existing note?
Yes. Right-click Transcript and choose Resume listening. The new recording stays in the same meeting note.
Can I import older meetings?
Yes. Upload one audio, SRT, or VTT file to an empty note, or use Settings → Imports for meeting-history exports from another assistant. See Import audio or a transcript and Import meeting history.
AI, offline use, and privacy
Can I use Mico offline?
You can record and take notes offline. Transcription, summaries, and chat run in Mico's cloud service: Mico keeps the audio on your computer and catches up when you reconnect. See Use Mico offline.
Where is my data stored?
In both places. Each computer keeps a local copy so Mico works offline, and while you are signed in your notes, transcripts, contacts, and action items are stored in your Mico account in the cloud. They are not end-to-end encrypted. Transcription, summaries, and chat also run in Mico's cloud. See Data, privacy, and retention and Cloud sync.
Does Mico train on my meetings?
No. Mico does not train AI models with your recordings, transcripts, or notes, and its AI providers process them under terms that exclude it. Transcription, summaries, and chat run in Mico's cloud service; there are no local models and no option to use your own provider. See the privacy policy.
Can a meeting use multiple languages?
Yes. Choose the meeting language and add every other language you expect under Additional meeting languages. See Languages.
Sharing, sync, and automation
What gets shared with another person?
Mico shares the generated summary, not your private memo. Retained audio is optional and must be included separately. Sharing is included in every plan. See Share meetings.
Do I need to set up sync?
No. Sync runs on its own while you are signed in, with no recovery key to keep. If two devices change the same note before syncing, the most recent change wins. See Cloud sync.
Can I automate follow-up work?
Yes, with the Flow or Enterprise plan. Built-in starters can post a Slack recap, update a Notion page, create Linear issues, export each meeting as Markdown, or back up your notes on a schedule. See Automate meeting follow-up.
Platforms and developer tools
Which desktop platforms are supported?
Mico is built for Macs with Apple silicon running macOS 15 or later. It is not yet available for public download: join the waitlist at meetmico.ai/download. Windows does not have a public version yet, and there is no Linux build.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet. Mico currently ships as a desktop app.
Can my scripts or agents read my meetings while Mico is closed?
Yes. The API and the remote MCP server run in Mico's cloud and read your synced meetings with a personal access token from Settings → Developers. The mico CLI reads the desktop app's local database, also while the app is closed.
If something is not working, go to Troubleshooting. For a question not covered here, use Settings → Feedback or email founders@meetmico.ai.
